coincidence or fate: just as i'm beginning to shake off my bad habit of making impulse buys, i realize that i should have just bought a certain piece i've been coveting the first time i saw it, because it's no longer available for purchase.
somehow i missed the "we won’t be taking orders for this range after feb 2nd" bit on the we are handsome site until just the other day, but with merchandise so stellar, i suppose it's not all that surprising that i wasn't focusing on the fine print.
i've never been a fan of bikinis - something about their overall scarcity of fabric leaves something to be desired in terms of design. that said, those little fabric triangles are by far the most prominent type of swimwear on the market, and i'm always looking for a one-piece suit that doesn't fall under the 'sporty' or 'plain' heading. since i lean towards styles that have a vintage feel, i fell hard for we are handsome's graphic interpretation of that vibe.
whether it's a west coast airport runway at sunset, a quaint and colorful guide to bird species, or a christopher kane-esque image of a lion's visage mid-roar, these cheeky limited edition images are a welcome departure from the all the suits i've become accustomed to. unfortunately, all of this admiration does me no good, since i can't get my hands on them anymore.
damn this newfound self-restraint of mine.
